The analysis of moving trajectory of trommel screen screening material

 In the process of movement of material, the screen surface has a frictional influence on it. Therefore, the material will go up along the mesh of trommel screen in a radial direction. After reaching a certain height, the material will go down automatically because its friction is less than its gravity. Moreover, the inlet of trommel screen is high while the outlet is low generally. Thus, materialin the drum goes forward in a “S” type way.

   In general, the screen in the inlet is fine screen while it in the outlet is coarse screen. And the closer the material nears inlet, the slighter the screening material is. Due to low power consumption of trommel screen, easy to achieve large scale and layout in the production process, the inletand outlet is easy to lay out. The most common production process is as following: belt conveyor / screw conveyor -----> trommel screen -----> belt conveyor / screw conveyor.
